About Crystallery

Crystallery was developed from a love of all things sparkly and unusual!

Well... where do I start...? I graduated with a HND in Graphic Design way back in 1994, and ended up with a career in banking! Fast forward a few years to 2006, and I'm now getting married. With the wedding taking place in Greece, much of the planning had to be done from a distance, and I felt that choosing my bouquet could be difficult - I didn't want to get to the actual day and then find it was the wrong colour or shape, or even the wrong flowers! So, after trawling the internet for some ideas, I discovered Swarovski crystals and decided to make my bouquet from crystal stems.

Hundreds of stems later, my bouquet looked amazing! Completely unique, like a cascade of sparkles - it was exactly right.

It was easy then to progress to designing and creating my tiara, and also creating matching mini-versions of both the bouquet and tiara for my bridesmaids. Packaged well, everything travelled successfully to Greece (and back again!), and the wedding went without a hitch.

People's reactions to my 'creations' then started me thinking. I enjoyed the time spent making everything, and felt that I could expand on these to include jewellery. There are so many beautiful beads around, but I chose to concentrate on using Swarovski crystals as they are such stunning quality, and I love working with them.

So 'Crystallery' was born in 2007, and you're here, viewing my website, and hopefully liking my creations! All my jewellery is created from genuine Swarovski Crystals combined with 925 Sterling Silver. Everything is handmade, and I make each piece with the same high attention to detail and quality as I would if it were for myself.

Crystallery is based in West Yorkshire and run by Helen Turnbull.
